Pine (Radiata)

Pinus Radiatus aka Pine is a light coloured coniferous softwood that grows exceptionally well in New Zealand.  In and around the Gisborne area we have a lot of it!

We clean up after logging operations, this minimises the waste left on skid sites, therefore it is an ecologically friendly way to source firewood.

Pine is a great wood to use to start your fire and get a good bed of embers before you load your fire up for the night with Manuka/Kanuka.

Pine is a hot and fast burning wood.

We reccomend that you buy two loads of Pine to every one load of Manuka/Kanuka for a good burn and heat output from your fire place.
